Weekly Photo Challenge: Threshold
This week’s Photo Challenge is about threshold, defined as, “a point of entering; that point just before a new beginning — that split-second moment in time, full of anticipation.”
This photo from a camel safari we took in India’s Thar Desert immediately came to mind.
To me, it captures the moment in time when we are about to step into a new day, with all it’s unknowns, mysteries and possibilities.
Interestingly, when I showed it to Agri, he had a completely different interpretation. He saw it as two people who had figured out how to fly. They were on the threshold of taking off, levitating into the sky, releasing all of their limiting earthly boundaries. As if they had figured out an eternal truth that had been hidden to them for so long, embracing their future as they shed the weight of their past.
A beautiful and romantic thought, no?
What’s your interpretation? A new day? A new flight? Or something else entirely?
