If our lives were a book, this would definitely be the cover art.
One can dream about having written a bestselling memoir, can’t they? 😉
What would the title of YOUR bestselling memoir be?
An unforgettable night in Talwara, India… The sky was perfectly painted, the company was great… An Indian family who treated me as I was part of them, I felt belonging there… And then, because I was going to leave the next day… We decided to don’t sleep at all and we started painting… I have the picture of the paint… And that would be the cover of my best seller book
That sounds like a completely amazing experience! and like a perfect cover for your bestseller! 😀
That is a cool shot. I had many ideas of what a cover should look like, but decided to focus on the terrible events that happened on Canadian soil this week. Did you hear the news?
OMG, I just read about this morning! 😦 I admit I saw something on FB over the week, but didn’t follow up. I couldn’t believe it when I read about it. It feels so sad when stuff like that happens in Canada, because everybody is so nice…it seems unreal.
I know right? Things like that happen in other places… not home. A fellow Canadian at work texted me the other morning and immediately I had chills… terrible. It was all over CNN and BBC news that night. The video is scary. I feel terrible for the solider who was killed unnecessarily. He was unarmed and shot from behind… what a cowardly act 😦
😦 Really cowardly… but I’m so glad Canadians aren’t reacting with fear. I saw a great thing on Upworthy about how we don’t react with fear and intimidation, but with empathy and logic. It’s great to be from that kind of place and not one that fights with intimidation instead. Sure makes it easier to travel around the world too… we’re always so warmly received when people find out we’re Canadians, and I hate to say it (but it’s true), not Americans…
Yes I’ve had that experience also. Although some American travelers/expats I’ve met are embarrassed by how their country handles such crisis and events at times. A fellow expat in India sent me a you tube clip and I am off to check it out. Suppose to be good. Her post this week was about her reaction to finding out the news. If you happen upon my post you can find her links in my comment section. One of her comments said how along the highway of heroes the solider was returned to Hamilton and over 500 KM people lined the road up to 4 deep to pay their respects and sing O Canada. What a lovely tribute.
Love the shot and the bestseller badge is terrific!
Thanks Tina! 😀 I had quite a bit of fun mocking up my “bestseller!” I should’ve given myself some awards too… 😉
Truly lovely, Shelley! 🙂
Merci beaucoup. 🙂 It was a lot of fun to make up!
Nice touches. That bench is high? Your feet are not touching the ground. Cool!
Will do this WPC in the future. It’s a neat idea for a post.
You really notice the details Rommel! A bit high…but I think we’re swinging our feet too. 🙂 It was a lot of fun to mock up and put together. Can’t wait to see yours…
I love the cover and title. It shows a life of wandering together.
My memoir title is the title of my blog – Wish I Were Here.
Thank you! I hope we continue to have a life of wandering the world together. 🙂 I’m waiting for your memoir to get published so I can read it. 😉
It is a great book! Lovely cover art!!
Thanks Indah. 🙂 I hope it stays true for the rest of our lives! 😀
