Our wedding in Koh Samui, Thailand wasn’t what I’d call a typical destination wedding full of touching moments and perfect photo ops.

No, it was one where the groom’s wedding band was purchased from a beach vendor the morning of the ceremony, a lot of the wedding photos are monkey portraits, and a full-out brawl materialized during the reception.

Like I said, not perfect. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fortunately, the Library Hotel’s Breakfast Culture was.

Breakfast in bed, with a view of the Gulf of Thailand, unlimited lattes and fresh squeezed juices, tropical fruits, pastries and a hot breakfast made to order, almost made me forget about the events of the night before.

Almost.

Located on Koh Samui’s Chaweng Beach, The Library is where we got married. A member of Design Hotels, it’s probably best known for it’s signature red swimming pool.

I’m not a huge wedding person, but I have to say, this looks very chill and laid-back!

I’m SO not a wedding person either. I know people who have binders full of colours and dresses and patterns, but I seriously had not put a second of thought into my wedding day, before I got married. That’s why this was perfect for us…I literally did nothing but tell them I wanted green and white flowers, and they did EVERYTHING else (and would you believe, at a fraction of the cost of a wedding in North America!) I loved it! ๐Ÿ˜€

That breakfast looks very cool. I’ll definetly need to go there (wow, that pool!).

If you have the chance Zurich, try the breakfast at The Dolder Grand. So far, this was the best breakfast I ever had.

That hotel is pretty amazing in every respect, and yes, you definitely have to go there. Posted prices are really expensive, but if you book on Agoda, it’s wayyyyy cheaper. We stayed for just 3 nights, but I wish we would’ve stayed for much, much longer. If we ever make it to Zurich, we’ll definitely look up that breakfast. We’ll just have to uh…. save some more money. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The posted prices are always a “joke”. Usually you do not need to pay only half of that!

Well, I know that feeling. Leaving your dream holiday is very hard :/

Stories to tell for the rest of your happy lives! I’ve “read” about that Library Hotel. Ha! Ha! Get it? I’m glad you cleared up the bit about the famous red swimming pool. For a moment I thought it could have been blood stained from the “brawl”. Great pics, I love the crasher!

Hahaha!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Yeah that pool definitely gets them some press that’s for sure. Lol. I love that crasher too. It makes me laugh every time I see him standing there so casually in the background.
