When traveling, we like to express ourselves by “blending in” with the locals as much as possible. π
On a trip to India and Sri Lanka, my friend Sarah and I found plenty of opportunities to mingle with residents of Bangalore, Mysore, and Colombo.
How do you think we did? Did we blend in? π
My Wanderlusty Life
You definitely don’t hold your tea cup the way they do π
Shelley @Travel-Stained
Lol…amongst other things… π
twobrownfeet
Funny post! I’m not sure if your blended in but had a great time! That’s what matters. π
Shelley @Travel-Stained
We did have a great time! I’m not too sure how happy the people around us were, but we were laughing at least. π

There is nothing more I love than to blend in with the locals on travel, that is for sure! And your pictures are so funny!
I love your blog and posts so much that I have nominated you for 4 blog awards. Haha, yes 4! But it is up to you if you want to accept it! No pressure!

Wow 4 awards!! Thank you Hanne. I’m honoured! <3 Lol…I must admit though that I'm terrible at writing up these awards and have yet to do one, but you have inspired me…and I think I may create a giant awards post myself!! π
Sue Slaght
Well you may not really blend in very well but in my experience those big smiles and friendly attitudes go a long way with locals. Great photos!
Shelley @Travel-Stained
Thanks Sue! π Interacting with the people of the country I’m visiting is definitely one of my favourite things about traveling (besides the food), and it’s particularly fun in India. I find people there are always so warm, friendly and curious.

Great pics. I remember those bus journeys in Asia, sitting in the aisles π
Shelley @Travel-Stained
Bus journeys in Asia are certainly always memorable! We were so happy to get seats, even if they were in the aisles… that bus ride was looooong. π
aleksawal
hahaha, you guys need to practice your scowling expressions to blend into that last one! π
Shelley @Travel-Stained
Right!? Lol, the guy in the front looks ready to kill. Yikes!
Jen
I LOST IT when I saw the last picture. aahahahhaa.
Shelley @Travel-Stained
Lol…I have to say that people were not very impressed with us, but we had to make that “luxury” ac bus ride tolerable somehow….. π
rommel
Ahihihi The first pic is just, hate to say this popular word, … epic! π
Shelley @Travel-Stained
Those poor guys didn’t even know what hit them! Hahahaha. Too much fun. π

Shelley @Travel-Stained
