A few pics from British Colombia

This is the first time I’ve blogged while traveling, so we’re still working out our technology kinks and how we’re going to handle this whole business.

We’re shopping for a netbook, and when we get it, I think things will become a lot easier, but for now, it’s just an iPad, Zaggfolio and iPhone camera. It’s a bit challenging, especially for getting the pictures off my DSLR and onto this post…hence, just a few iPhone pics for now. ๐Ÿ™‚

As Canadians, it wasn’t our first trip to Vancouver, but it WAS our first trip back to Canada in quite some time. It’s funny how much your perspective changes with some time away. Canadian’s are SO NICE. Yes, it’s really true.

Our first and most important order of business upon arriving in Canada, was to get a Timmy’s double double (yeah, I think you have to be Canadian to get it). It took a few sips to get back on the Timmy’s train, but I have to say that the addiction came back pretty darn quickly. What doย they put in that coffee?

This is the view from the 29th floor of the Sheraton Wall Centre, where my parents graciously hosted us for 3 days (and saved our budget butts for this leg of the trip). Vancouver is EXPENSIVE.

I think Vancouver has some of the best dim sum available outside of Hong Kong. Yum! Yum!

So, as you’ve probably guessed by now, eating in Canada, and steak in particular, was high on our priority list. Steak is very expensive in South Korea ($40 for 200 grams of Hanwoo beef in a galbi restaurant expensive). In 3 years of living there, I think we had steak only once or twice.

We definitely enjoyed it, by dining on steak, twice, during our 1 week in Canada.
