Weekly Photo Challenge: Spring
Korea experiences 4 distinct seasonal changes, with each of the seasons seeming to arrive overnight. I’m told by Koreans that the difference between the seasons is much less marked than it used to be, but to this Canadian at least, who’s used to winter, winter and more winter, followed by the briefest glimpse of a sort of spring, Seoul’s spring seems wonderfully drawn out and gratifying.
I revel in the 2-3 months of spring flowers, warm temperatures and newly budding trees, knowing that it’ll all be washed away by the terrible heat and humidity of the summer monsoons.
For this week’s photo challenge, a field full of delicate red and purple flowers, made so vivid by the radiance of the sun, that I couldn’t even see what I was taking a picture of at the time.
Happy it turned out as it did. 🙂
