Weekly Photo Challenge: Converge

thailand

There are few sights I find more stirring than the convergence of sea and sky.

In sunlight, Ko Tao’s Shark Bay had some of the clearest, most marvelous aquamarine water I’ve ever seen on my travels. When storm clouds darkened the sky and blotted out the sun, the water transformed into something just a little bit darker, a little more foreboding.

We watched silently as the heavens and the sea nearly merged into a perfect patchwork of sublime blues and greens, over the course of just a few minutes. First row seats to a majestic natural performance!

Have you witnessed any memorable “natural performances?” Tell us about your experiences in the comments below.

    • Hi Michele…yes, Thailand has some of the most beautiful water I’ve seen in the world. The country is really blessed in the beaches department, that’s for sure! 🙂

Plenty of lightning across the sky outside my windows, sometimes I like to sit and watch the show. Not when it’s thundering though, then, I stay far, far away from the window…hahaha…

    • Oh, I love thunder and lightning storms! but only from inside the safety of my house. I actually love it when the thunder is really close and it shakes the whole house!! 😉

Lol, then you should visit Singapore during the monsoon season too…lots of thunder and lightning. ..singapore is actually one of those places with the highest incidence of lighting, all courtesy of our location on the globe. Some of these lightings shows can be pretty awesome to watch. 😄
